Introduction
Berkeley County Government (County) proposes to improve the intersection of Royle Road (S-535) at Farmington Road / Treeland Drive (S-1258) in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The project includes improving the roadway intersection approaches as necessary to meet current design criteria. The purpose of the project is to improve the operational efficiency and safety of the intersection.
The proposed intersection improvements Right-of-Way impacts are not determined at this time. The 2023 Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is 8,500 vehicles based on SCDOT’s Station 08-0321 located northeast of the proposed project. A Programmatic Categorical Exclusion (PCE) is anticipated.
